FARM MACHINERY
There are far more machines in use on the farm today than in times past. Today even the cattle are fed, cleaned out, bedded and needless to say milked mechanically.
The Tractor with the loader is vital during the winter months, in fact there is a second tractor equiped to use the loader in the event a breakdown should occur.

ours is no exception. having cleaned the manure from the sheds, it is
pushed up a ramp into the spreader and taken to be spread in the
fields. This is a daily occurrence during the winter months, unless
the weather prevents it.
We do all our own ploughing and seedbed preparations, which we will be taking you through in the Journal pages when and as they occur.
Combining, Baling, Silage making and Hedge cutting are done by contractors using expensive specialist machinery
With the exception of the combining, the rest is done by a firm of contractors established in 1919 with their 4th generation recently joining the firm.
